Conjunctivitis, also called conjunctivitis, can be caused by a bacterial or viral infection or allergic reactions to dust, pollen and other materials. Conjunctivitis can be caused by a virus, bacteria, irritants, allergens or diseases (STDs). It can usually be treated with antibiotics. Red eyes may be part of infections viral respiratory disease, particularly measles. Children with conjunctivitis complain of a scratchy sensation or pain in the eye and may have a flow fluid or pus. 8. Wash your hands after applying eye drops or ointment to your eyes or your child's eye.
9. Do not use eye drops in one eye uninfected were used for an infected one.
