My youngest brother was born when I was ten. I remember very clearly the visit to the grocery store we had to buy his cradle. Because he has come along so much later than my other brother and I did, my mother had to start from scratch. This effort was quite expensive for it to the time, but she had fun choosing things for her new baby. One thing she has bought a lot of people will not buy today is a set of electrodes bumpers. Although they were a good idea so many people know they are not safe today.
Tours of cot were originally introduced to keep a baby from bumping his head against the rail on the crib. These practices were altogether, and I can imagine they do what they were intended to do. All buffers round bed that my mother bought was linked to the crib rails all around inside. My brother has been quite active, and I'm sure they saved of head banging quite a few times.
Today, however, many people refuse to buy bed linen tower. When my daughter was a child, someone gave me a set of these for his birthplace. I've rolled up and stored in the closet. Although I still think bumpers pads are useful, I know they can also be dangerous. There were many babies
who got their head stuck between the pads and rails, or may be obtained pads wrapped around their heads, which led to injuries and even death. Once that happened, numerous companies and doctors warn against their use.
I think you can always buy towels bumpers today. They addressed really great in a crib, and I can understand why some parents want to have. However, I would personally rather my baby banged his head few occasions that have become choked or suffocate because they had their heads caught in the crib bumper pads. SIDS has become a very serious problem, and there are certain guidelines you should follow to help prevent this from happening to your baby. If you have any pads round bed in the bed of your baby, it may be time to remove them for good. In the end, it is far better than your baby's head banging or some time to take a chance with their lives.
