Hello Kitty is an animated cat that was created by Sanrio there are more than 30 years. Since its inception, it has become the most popular characters Sanrio and the idol of millions of young women in Asia and elsewhere. In 1990, she opened her own theme park, Sanrio Puroland, Japan, and there it currently receives about 1.4 million visitors per year. It has even become so popular that it has been named Junior Ambassador for UNICEF.
Today, there seems to be no limit to the popularity of Hello Kitty. Starts Western pop and famous actors have recently started wearing Hello Kitty jewelry, so could easily become more popular in years to come. Some pop stars and Western actors have been seen with Hello Kitty jewelry include Britney Spears, Mariah Carey, Cameron Diaz and Paris Hilton. Even famous people like Ricky Martin and Steve Tyler have contributed to the popularity of Hello Kitty.
